The war must end. Ukraine considers the bilateral document on security guarantees with the United States ready. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Monday, February 2.
Zelenskyy said he had held a meeting with Ukraine's negotiation team ahead of a new round of trilateral meetings to be held on February 4 and 5. According to him, Rustem Umerov, Kyrylo Budanov, Serhii Kyslytsia, Andrii Hnatov, and Oleksandr Bevz were present at the meeting. The Ukrainian delegation will also have bilateral meetings with the American side.
"We also hope that the American side can continue to be resolute in providing the necessary conditions for dialogue. The de-escalation measures that actually came into effect last Friday night help to build people's confidence in the negotiation process and in the possible outcome. The war must be ended," the Head of State emphasized.
Zelenskyy stressed that a bilateral document on security guarantees with the United States is ready, and Ukraine is counting on further substantive work on documents on recovery and economic development.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the next trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the United States and the aggressor country russia would take place on February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi.
