Kadyrov's militants have begun expansion in the temporarily occupied Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia Region, to seize control of local businesses. This is said in a statement by the ATESH guerrilla movement.
"ATESH agents from the occupied Tokmak are recording the launch of the process of redistribution of property according to the same scenario that we previously described in Mariupol. The fighters of the 78th regiment "Akhmat North" began active preparations for the seizure of the most liquid enterprises of the city with the aim of their further informal transfer to the control of structures from Grozny," it says.
According to the guerrillas, the occupation units are currently conducting an inventory of assets and exerting systemic pressure on the owners of agricultural companies and retail chains. Repressions against local entrepreneurs are intensifying every day and are aimed at forcing people to voluntarily give up their property in favor of Kadyrov's militants. The process is accompanied by threats of fabricated criminal cases and illegal inspections, which serve only as a formal pretext for future raids.
"The situation in Tokmak clearly confirms the colonial policy of Moscow, which gives Ukrainian cities to its loyal units for plunder in exchange for holding the front. Residents of the city report the constant presence of armed men in the offices of enterprises and attempts to impose "external governance" from among those close to Kadyrov's commanders," ATESH notes.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to ATESH, a number of temporarily occupied cities (Melitopol, Yevpatoriia, etc.) have seen a massive arrival of foreigners, mostly Cubans and Indians. They are actively engaged in low-paid work in the housing and utilities sector, promised russian citizenship and placed in "ownerless" houses left empty by the flight of local residents from the occupation.
