Polish businessman to donate proceeds from congress of Ukrainian-phobic politicians to Ukraine

A scandal erupted in Poland over the congress of the far-right party "Confederation of the Polish Crown", led by Grzegorz Braun, known for his anti-Ukrainian statements. The event took place on January 31, and later the organizers announced that they decided to direct the funds received to support Ukraine.

This is reported by Rzeczpospolita.

The congress in the town of Łochów caused outrage among residents of the region. Many people signed a petition to the management of the Arche hotel chain, where the meeting was planned, demanding that the lease of the premises for Braun's political force be canceled.

Participation in the event was paid: ticket prices ranged from PLN 150 for students to PLN 5,000 for other categories of participants. According to information from the organizers' website, all tickets were sold out, and in total more than 500 people took part in the event.

The president of the Arche chain, Wladyslaw Grochowski, explained that according to the current legislation, the hotel had no legal grounds to refuse the customer to hold the event. Grochowski called such events "fuel for extremism and radicalism" and emphasized that the company does not share Braun's views.

"Mr. Braun and I are absolutely not on the same wavelength. Therefore, I have decided that all funds from this event will be transferred to help Ukraine, which is fighting for survival, and which we have supported in every way since the first day of the war," he announced.

Grochowski also called on the Polish authorities not to ignore the activities of the "Confederation of the Polish Crown", calling it a dangerous movement that requires a clear response from state structures.

Recall that earlier the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry called on Musk to prohibit the russians from using Starlink to strike Ukraine.
