The Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered businessman Serhii Karabut as a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party, replacing the deceased Oleksandr Kabanov.
This is announced in the CEC's statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"During today's meeting, the Commission considered the application and necessary documents of Serhii Karabuta and, in accordance with the legislation, registered him as MP of Ukraine, elected in the extraordinary elections of MPs of Ukraine on July 21, 2019 in the nationwide multi-mandate electoral district from the political party Servant of the People," the message says.
Karabuta is included in the electoral list of the Servant of the People party under No. 156.
He will acquire the powers of MP from the moment of taking the oath in the Verkhovna Rada.
In 2006, Karabuta became a co-founder and director of the travel company Tropicana Tevel LLC.
In addition, he was the head of the Kyiv branch of Travel Company LLC.
Karabuta was born on January 3, 1983 in Kyiv.
In 2006, he graduated from the Institute of Tourism of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine with a specialty "management" and the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 14, it became known that MP Oleksandr Kabanov had died.
On January 23, the Central Election Commission recognized businessman Karabut as a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party, replacing the deceased Kabanov.
