A cold snap will begin in Ukraine from January 30, and a peak of severe frosts is expected in early February. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko.
According to her, on Thursday the air temperature will begin to drop in most regions of the country. "On January 30, a cold snap will begin in Ukraine, -2-8 degrees are expected during the day," Natalka Didenko noted. At the same time, the south and southeast will still remain relatively warm - +1+5 degrees."
According to the weather forecaster, precipitation will prevail on the Left Bank - wet snow and rain are expected, and in the northern regions, snow in places. The situation in the capital will be especially difficult. "In Kyiv, the air temperature is expected to drop to -5-8 degrees! It will become very slippery after today's warming!!" she warned, adding that light snow is possible on Friday.

Natalka Didenko paid special attention to the wind. "Be careful! Strong north-easterly wind is likely!", the forecaster emphasized.
In the future, according to her forecast, the cold snap will only intensify and cover the entire territory of Ukraine. "During February 1-4, a peak of frosts is expected, which may reach -20-28 degrees at night and in some places lower," she noted. The coldest will be in the north of the country, including the capital. "The northern part of Ukraine, including Kyiv, will be the frostiest. In Kyiv, the peak of frost is expected on February 1-2," Didenko specified.
According to the forecaster, the frosts are expected to ease from February 5.
