From Monday, February 2, the educational process will resume in Kyiv schools. The Kyiv City State Administration officially announced this on its Telegram channel.
According to the authorities, there will be no single standard for everyone: each school will independently determine the format of classes (full-time, distance or mixed). Decisions will be made based on the security situation, as well as the availability of heating and stable power supply in the institution.
The main priority remains the safety and comfort of children, so parents have the right to decide how their child will study. The Kyiv City State Administration emphasized:
"By January 30, school leaders will inform parents and students about the chosen format of education. Families will be able to choose the format of participation in the educational process that is most comfortable and safe," the message says.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 16, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that the capital's schools will have holidays from January 19 to February 1, which will be extended at the expense of spring and summer holidays.
Also, the Kyiv Region Defense Council, after discussions with communities, made a decision to resume the educational process in secondary education institutions from January 19.
