Kyiv switched to temporary power outage schedules under the new system from midnight. Each house has its own schedule. It was announced by DTEK on Wednesday, January 28.

DTEK noted that the situation in the power system remains difficult. In the event of new attacks by the aggressor country russia, especially during the cold snap, the capital will have to return to emergency blackouts.

"In the first few days, temporary schedules will be finalized in the process. Therefore, we apologize in advance for any inaccuracies. We are launching the schedules as soon as we can so that Kyiv residents have at least a small basis for planning their day," the company emphasized.

Main terms and conditions:

  • Schedules will be uneven in different areas due to the nature of power system damage.
  • They are in no way tied to the queues we are used to (1.1, 1.2, 2.1, etc.).
  • Each house will have its own schedule.

The schedules can be viewed in the chatbot and on the site. Due to the site overload, delays of up to 5 minutes are possible. The company emphasized that the power engineers managed to do the impossible - to introduce schedules with the available amount of light despite the huge shortage.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chided the Kyiv authorities for the pace of heat and light restoration.

On January 28, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said that about 710,000 consumers in Kyiv are currently still without electricity.
