France and the partners of the G7+ Energy Coordination Group remain fully committed to supporting Ukraine and the search for a just and lasting peace based on reliable security guarantees.

This is stated in a message on the website of the French Embassy in Ukraine following the G7+ Energy Coordination Meeting, which includes the G7 countries, the European Union and 14 other countries: Bulgaria, Korea, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, and Ukraine.

"The European Union will mobilize part of the civilian aid funding provided by the EUR 90 billion loan to support Ukraine's energy system. The United States will provide more than USD 400 million in energy and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine," the statement said.

It is reported that the meeting, which took place on January 23, was organized at the request of Ukraine to increase support for its energy system after the intensification of russian strikes.
