Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has responded to statements by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who categorically does not support Ukraine's membership in the European Union. Sybiha posted the relevant post on his X-account on Friday, January 23.
"This plan is doomed to fail, Mr. Prime Minister. Your master in Moscow won’t last 100 years even if you were ready to donate him all organs. And on the day Ukraine joins the EU, we will frame this headline in the Verkhovna Rada to remember your lies for the next 100 years," the Ukrainian Foreign Minister wrote.

As a reminder, Orbán said that in the next 100 years, Hungary will not have a parliament that will vote in favor of Ukraine's accession to the European Union.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 22, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that he would not be able to reach an agreement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
On January 6, Orbán said that the future of Hungary is connected with the European Union, but the EU "will fall apart by itself."
As a reminder, on December 17, 2025, Hungary again blocked the adoption of the European Union's annual enlargement statement, which contained an assessment of Ukraine's progress towards EU membership.
