President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and russia in Abu Dhabi will continue tomorrow, January 24. He noted that the parameters for ending the war are being discussed, but it is too early to draw conclusions.
He said this in his evening address.
Zelenskyy said that he would receive reports from Ukrainian representatives who are in the UAE almost every hour. In particular, Ukraine is represented by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, leader of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, First Deputy Head of the President's Office David Arakhamia, and Serhii Kyslytsia.
"It is important because there hasn't been such a trilateral meeting format for a long time. They are talking about the parameters for ending the war. Now they should have at least some answers from Russia, the main thing is that Russia should be ready to end this war, which it started. Ukraine's position is clear. I have defined the framework for dialogue for our delegation," Zelenskyy said.
The President added that tomorrow the Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov and a representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskyi would join the talks.
"It is too early to draw conclusions about the content of the talks today - we will see how the conversation will go tomorrow and what the results will be. It is necessary that not only the Ukrainian desire to end this war, to achieve complete security, but also that a similar desire be born in Russia," he summarized.
Recall that Reuters claimed that there are currently no signs of softening positions on territorial issues between Ukraine and russia at the talks in Abu Dhabi.
