Russia continues to militarize children in occupied territories - CCD

The occupation administration of the so-called "DPR" has announced its intention to open 14 "Young Army Houses" - elements of the russian system aimed at the military-ideological indoctrination of children and youth. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

Thus, propaganda media report that such centers are planned to be created in each "local branch of the DPR". They are presented as supposedly educational and patriotic spaces, but in practice they are about the systematic militarization of children aged 8 and over.

The Center emphasizes that the activities of the "Young Army" include classes in military-applied disciplines, ideological activities, participation in propaganda actions and the cult of war. The occupation structures openly position children and adolescents as "future defenders of russia".

"Russia is purposefully using education and youth programs as a tool of long-term occupation policy. Under the guise of "clubs" and "patriotic education" young people are being forced into military ideology, loyalty to the Kremlin regime, and justification of aggression against Ukraine," the Center emphasizes.
