US President Donald Trump said his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was "very good" and added that "everyone wants the war to end." Meanwhile, special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner have left for russia as part of the continuation of peace talks.
He told reporters after the talks, the BBC reports.
So, in total, the talks between the two leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 22 lasted about an hour. They took place before Zelenskyy's speech at the forum.
Trump said the talks with the Ukrainian President were "very good." When asked about what was discussed at the meeting, he told reporters that they would have to "wait and see what happens next," adding that the United States is meeting with russia tomorrow.
"Everybody wants the war to end," Trump said.
Witkoff is scheduled to meet with vladimir putin in the Kremlin later on January 22.
"I think we've narrowed it down to one issue and discussed different options for resolving it, which means it's solvable," Witkoff said before flying to Moscow with Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Zelenskyy also reported a good meeting with US President Donald Trump in Davos, Switzerland. According to him, the documents are even more prepared.
