First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal said that the power industry has developed a number of technical solutions that will allow Kyiv to switch to predictable power outage schedules.
Shmyhal wrote about this on his official Telegram channel following a meeting of the Emergency Response Headquarters in Kyiv.
According to him, the electricity situation in Kyiv remains tense. Despite the efforts of power engineers, there are emergency blackouts in the capital.
"However, power engineers have developed a number of technical solutions that will allow us to move from emergency to strict but predictable schedules. The task is to reach this mode in the coming days," Shmyhal said.
160 teams of specialists worked during the day to restore the consequences of the massive attacks of the occupiers. At night, 52 brigades are engaged in restoration.
With regard to heating, the specialists managed to partially restore the heat generation. At the same time, a little more than 3,200 thusand apartment buildings are still without heat. On Thursday, it is planned to supply heat to as many buildings as possible.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 21, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that as of the morning, more than half of Kyiv had been without electricity.
The day before, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said in an interview with The Times, that since the beginning of January, about 600,000 people have left the capital due to the consequences of russian strikes on the energy sector.
