As of January 2026, Ukraine has improved its position in the Henley Passport Index: the Ukrainian passport has risen to 30th place in the world, providing the possibility of visa-free travel or obtaining a visa upon arrival in 143 countries.
This data was released in the Henley Passport Index, which estimates the number of countries with free entry for citizens of different countries and is considered one of the indicators of the international status of a passport.
The rating's analytics show that Ukraine's position has been gradually improving over the past 12 years. During this time, the Ukrainian passport has risen 23 places in the list, reflecting the expansion of visa-free opportunities and growing trust from other countries.


Dynamics of Ukraine's positions in the Henley Passport Index: 2014 — 53rd place; 2020 — 41–44th place; 2021 — 37–38th place; 2023 — 36th place; 2024 — 32nd place; 2026 — 30th place.
Singapore retains the highest position in the world ranking in 2026. Japan and South Korea jointly occupy the second place.
