On the evening of January 20, an earthquake occurred in the Zakarpattia Region, the epicenter of which was located near the city of Mukachevo. It was reported by the Main Center for Special Control.

The tremors were recorded at 6:52 p.m., and their magnitude was 2.4. At the same time, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center provided slightly different data, estimating the strength of the shocks at 2.7 on the Richter scale and noting that the focus of the earthquake was at a depth of 9 kilometers.

Despite the recorded seismic activity, experts reassure the population, as according to the accepted classification, such fluctuations are classified as imperceptible or very weak.

Earthquakes of this kind usually do not pose any threat to human life, residential buildings, or critical infrastructure, so the situation in the region remains quite stable and safe.
