In Kyiv, on January 20, two locksmiths of emergency crews died of overload. In addition, many of them suffered from frostbite and psychophysical exhaustion.

Member of Parliament (Batkivshchyna) Oleksii Kucherenko has reported this.

"Yesterday, two locksmiths just died from a wild overload," he said.

The MP explained that the locksmiths of emergency crews in Kyiv are working in an abnormally tense mode. In particular, he said, because there are not enough teams.

"That's why people work for 2-3 days without a break - they are practically exhausted. ... Many have frostbite and psychophysical exhaustion," Kucherenko added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, more than a million consumers remained without electricity in Kyiv as of Tuesday evening, January 20.

Meanwhile, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported an extremely difficult situation in the capital, with the city on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe due to russia's constant attacks on the energy infrastructure. According to him, 600,000 residents have left Kyiv.
