Russian propagandists claim to have captured Minkivka in the Donetsk Region, but the information is not true - the town is under the control of the Defense Forces.
It was reported by the Operation Task Force "East".
"The settlement of Minkivka in the Sloviansk sector is also under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Our units continue to carry out combat missions at the designated frontiers," the statement said.
The military emphasized that the statements of russian propagandists about the alleged capture of Minkivka are not true and are an element of information and psychological operations aimed at creating "the illusion of successes that do not actually exist."
It is noted that in the area of responsibility of the Operation Task Force "East", the Defense Forces repelled 72 russian assaults. In particular, the defenders continue to be active in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration area, and have stopped 45 assaults in the Pokrovsk direction.
Ukrainian troops control the northern part of Pokrovsk, conducting search and assault operations and eliminating the enemy in the city's buildings. And in Myrnohrad, they are holding defensive lines and eliminating the enemy on the outskirts.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to intelligence, the aggressor country russia is considering a variant of attacks on Ukrainian nuclear power plants. The purpose of such strikes is to force Ukraine to sign unacceptable surrender demands to end the war.
