The aggressor country of russia has recorded the deepest personnel crisis in medicine in more than 60 years. It was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
So, according to official data, the number of mid-level medical personnel in the russian federation has dropped to a minimum since 1960 - 96.3 medical workers per 10,000 people. But even these figures are considered overstated by experts.
"The reasons are well known: the profession has lost its attractiveness due to low salaries. The militarized state directs all resources to the war and the power bloc, financing health care on a residual basis," the Center notes.
It is also reported that this crisis is even deeper in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. After the start of the full-scale russian invasion, many local doctors left, and russians do not want to work in the risk zone for meager pay. For the residents of the TOT, this means not only problems with medical care now, but also long-term consequences - deterioration of people with chronic diseases, advanced conditions, and increased mortality.
"For years, the Kremlin has been systematically sacrificing human capital for the sake of war and power. And the staffing collapse in medicine is a direct result of this political choice," the Center emphasizes
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, with the onset of frost, a significant part of the temporarily occupied territories found themselves without basic living conditions.
