US President Donald Trump has said that the decision not to strike Iran was his own.
"Nobody convinced me. I convinced myself," he told reporters, noting that Tehran's decision to cancel the executions of protesters had a "big impact" on him.
"They were going to hang over 800 people yesterday and I greatly respect the fact that they canceled that," Trump said.
According to Reuters, Iranian authorities have not publicly confirmed this information.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 13, US President Donald Trump addressed the people of Iran and urged them to continue protests and seize government buildings.
