President Zelenskyy holds meeting on energy and heating - President's Office

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conference call on the energy situation. The Head of State heard reports from government officials on the elimination of the consequences of russian strikes and the implementation of solutions to strengthen communities.

The Ukrainian leader said this on his Telegram channel.

The President thanked the repair crews, the State Emergency Service, energy companies and utilities working across the country. The most difficult situation, according to him, is currently observed in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and the corresponding regions.

"The geography of work is all over Ukraine, almost every region has relevant tasks. The most difficult are Kyiv and the region, Kharkiv and the region, Zaporizhzhia and the region. After the night attack on the Kyiv Region, there are additional challenges for Hostomel, Bucha, Irpin - all the necessary services are involved. During the day, the situation in Odesa should also be resolved. There were also reports on the Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Dnipropetrovsk Regions," Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy paid special attention to the problem with heating in the capital. He emphasized that there are discrepancies between city and government reports on the number of houses without heat, and instructed the Ministry of Energy and central authorities to do their best to help people.

The President also thanked the Ministry of Internal Affairs for deploying additional support points and expanding the work of the 112 line.

In addition, the Head of State instructed to significantly accelerate the increase in electricity imports and attract additional equipment from international partners. According to him, all the necessary decisions have already been made and should be implemented without delay.

"We need to accelerate the increase in electricity imports and attract additional equipment from partners as much as possible. All the solutions for this are already in place, and the increase in imports should be carried out immediately. There are separate instructions for the Minister of Defense of Ukraine regarding the work of the Air Forces and the protection of the sky. There will be decisions," Zelenskyy added.
