In 2025, the real gross domestic product (GDP), according to preliminary estimates by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, increased by 2.2% compared to 2024.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that in 2025, the economy of Ukraine continued to operate in conditions of attacks on energy infrastructure, complex logistics and high security risks.
However, despite this, the economy showed growth close to the forecast, which was supported by positive dynamics in the following key sectors: domestic (primarily retail) trade; construction; processing industry, in particular, an increase in the production of defense products, pharmaceutical products, metallurgical products, building materials and other products.
As the agency reported, in July-September 2025, real gross domestic product (GDP), according to operational data, increased by 2.1% compared to the same period in 2024 to UAH 2,427.964 billion (in actual prices).
In 2024, real gross domestic product, according to operational data, increased by 2.9% compared to 2023 (in constant 2021 prices) to UAH 7,658.659 billion (in actual prices).
The state budget for 2025 was developed based on the macroeconomic forecast, which predicts real GDP growth of 2.7%.
