In 2025, sea ports of Ukraine fulfilled the planned cargo turnover indicators by 95.4%.
This is stated in the message of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the plan, the cargo turnover of sea ports for 2025 was determined at the level of 86.2 million tons.
The actual result was 82.2 million tons, which is 95.36% of the plan.
At the same time, the forecast cargo turnover indicator (81.769 million tons) was fulfilled by 100.5%.
It is noted that the key basis of cargo turnover in 2025 remained agricultural products, which amounted to 44.2 million tons, or 53.7% of the total volume.
In 2025, container transportation increased significantly: 215,748 TEU were processed per year compared to 129,902 TEU a year earlier.
Ukrainian products were exported to 55 countries around the world.
TEU is a conventional unit of measurement of capacity based on the volume of a 20-foot container, hence the name - Twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 8 months of operation (January-August) of 2025, Ukrainian seaports processed 134,191 TEUs of container cargo - this is 3.3% more than the annual figure in 2024 and the highest figure since the beginning of the full-scale war.
