Ihor Kolomoiskyi's side has appealed the decision of the High Court of Justice in London in the case of the claim of JSC CB PrivatBank for recovery of damages in case No. BL-2017-000665, UNIAN reports.
According to the lawyer of the Ukrainian businessman, Oleksandr Lysak, the appeal was accepted and the execution of the decision of the court of first instance was suspended.
"The Court of Appeal will review all the conclusions set out in the decision of the court of first instance. Until the end of the appeal proceedings, the execution of the decision of the High Court of Justice in London will be suspended, as there is a possibility of its reversal on appeal," the statement reads.
Ihor Kolomoiskyi's side hopes for an effective, full and comprehensive review by an independent appellate court of all the motives and conclusions set out in the decision of the court of first instance, the businessman's defense added.
