The prediction of the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro, Shmuel Kaminetsky, regarding the timing of the end of the war in Ukraine did not come true. In October 2025, speaking at the Inspira business club, Kaminetsky said that hostilities in Ukraine should end by January 15, 2026, but as of this date, there are no prerequisites for the end of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In his speech, Shmuel Kaminetsky emphasized that he does not base his words on mysticism, but draws conclusions based on conversations with "influential people" in the United States and European countries.
"We gave a little more time because people will be busy on New Year's Eve. So we will celebrate on January 15, which will be after the war is over. If the war is over, the whole world, in a good sense of the word, investors, tourists, everyone will come here," he said.
According to Kaminetsky, after the war is over, Ukraine should have a "great future", which, according to his forecast, would begin in 2026.
"The whole world - investors, tourists - will come here, and there will be a great life here. Russia will become 'North Korea' and Ukraine will have an incredible future," he said.
As previously reported, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized that it was russia that rejected the peace plan proposed by the United States, and not vice versa, amid President Donald Trump's statement.
