500 Kyiv houses still without heat: Klitschko shows night-time repair work in Teremky

The mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, spoke about the difficult situation with the restoration of infrastructure after the russian attacks. According to him, the situation with electricity supply in the city remains extremely difficult, and almost 500 high-rise buildings are still without heat. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the mayor of the capital.

"The heat has already been restored to the majority of houses. But almost 500 high-rise buildings are still without heat. And utility workers continue to work," he said.

The mayor showed footage of the work of utility services, which are repairing the damaged heating main in Teremky-1 and Teremky-2 at night during severe frost. Specialists are working 24/7 to restore heat to the homes of residents of these neighborhoods by morning.

"The capital's utility workers are working in the cold, 24/7, under and after shelling. To restore heat supply to Kyiv residents' homes as soon as possible. I thank all our specialists who work around the clock in extremely difficult conditions," Vitali Klitschko emphasized.

The mayor added that despite the restoration of heat supply in most areas of the city, emergency crews continue to fight for every home. In parallel, energy workers are making every effort to stabilize the situation with electricity, which remains critical.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the situation with electricity supply in the Kyiv Region remains critical. Due to emergency repairs and instability in the network, some residents of the region will remain without electricity for a long time, and restrictions have been introduced in several districts without adhering to schedules.

After the russian shelling on the night of January 13, Kyiv has an even greater shortage of electricity, even to provide critical infrastructure.
