The State Emergency Service of Ukraine on behalf of the government provides residential buildings in Kyiv with powerful generators in those areas where there are the greatest problems with electricity supply. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has reported this on her Telegram channel.

"They (generators - ed.) also reduce the load on the system and ensure the vital activity of entire neighborhoods," she wrote.

Additionally, additional Invincibility Points are being deployed across the country, taking into account the situation on the ground.

According to Svyrydenko, the Cabinet's decision to review critical infrastructure facilities made it possible to add 1 GW of electricity to the grid.

"This is already significantly helping to balance the system in the aftermath of shelling and severe frosts. We are working to restore generation as soon as possible and simultaneously increase electricity imports. Works at all power facilities continue," the Prime Minister added.

As a reminder, as a result of the russian attack on power facilities a significant number of consumers in Kyiv and the region, as well as in the Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Regions were cut off from electricity.
