At night and in the morning of January 13, the occupants attacked energy facilities in several regions. As a result, a significant number of consumers in Kyiv and the region, as well as in the Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Regions, lost power. There are also power outages in the Zhytomyr, Kharkiv and Donetsk Regions. It was reported by Ukrenergo.
Emergency repair work has already begun wherever safety conditions allow, the power company says.
"Due to the difficult situation in the power system caused by the shelling, distribution system operators in Kyiv and the Kyiv Region, Odesa Region and Dnipro city are forced to apply network restrictions. The previously published hourly outage schedules are no longer in effect. In addition, emergency outages have been introduced in some regions. Grid restrictions and emergency blackouts will be lifted as soon as the situation in the power system stabilizes," the statement said.
Consequences of the bad weather
Due to unfavorable weather conditions, 17 settlements were completely or partially de-energized in the morning: 10 in the Zakarpattia Region and 7 in the Chernihiv Region. Emergency repair work on the lines is being carried out by the regional power company's repair crews.
