In 2025, sales of electric vehicles doubled to 110,200 units of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) compared to 2024.
This is said in a statement by the UkrAutoprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Light vehicles - 107,470 units, 113% more than in 2024; commercial vehicles - 2,773 units, 119% more; electric buses - 5 units, 150% more.
The share of new vehicles in BEV registrations was 21% compared to 20% in 2024.
In December 2025, sales of Battery Electric Vehicles (new and used) increased 8.6 times to 32,800 cars compared to December 2024.
Of these, more than 32,134 units were sold, which is 782% more and 699 commercial vehicles, which is 464% more.
The most popular new electric vehicles in 2025 were: Volkswagen ID.Unyx - 3162 units; BYD Song Plus EV - 2948 units; BYD Leopard 3 - 1623 units; Zeekr 7X - 1558 units and BYD Sea Lion 07 - 1337 units.
The most popular imported used electric vehicles in 2025 were: Tesla Model Y - 10683 units; Tesla Model 3 - 9348 units; Nissan Leaf - 7559 units; KIA Niro - 5154 units and Hyundai Kona Electric - 4145 units.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2024, sales of electric vehicles increased by 38% to 51,700 units compared to 2023.
