In Kyiv, three people were hospitalized after an attack by a 14-year-old student at a school in the Obolonskyi District. Law enforcement officers classified the teenager's actions as attempted murder.
It was reported by the Prosecutor's Office and the Police of Kyiv.
The incident took place in the morning of January 12. The student put on a mask and a helmet in the school restroom, then entered the classroom and attacked a 39-year-old history teacher and his classmate. He then locked himself in the restroom and stabbed himself in the stomach and arm.
All three are currently in hospitals. The classmate received multiple cut wounds to his back and forearm, the teacher has stab wounds to her arms and abdomen and is in serious condition.
Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under articles providing for attempted murder of two or more persons. During the inspection of the schoolboy's phone, they found correspondence with unknown persons, allegedly connected with russian special services. The motives of the boy's actions are currently being investigated.
