Russian dictator vladimir putin regularly appears in public not in person, but through look-alikes to reduce the risk of assassination attempts amid the war against Ukraine. It was reported by The Sun.

The former head of British intelligence MI6, Richard Dearlove, said that the use of double agents has become an element of the Kremlin's enhanced security protocol and has long been a common practice. According to him, the data of the Ukrainian special services on the appearance of putin's doubles at public events is reliable, and the decision on who exactly goes to people is made depending on the level of threat.

Western analysts attribute the security tightening to russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. The ability of Ukrainian special services to strike targets in russia, according to experts, has seriously increased the concerns of the dictator's entourage.

"He would be a drone target for the Ukrainians as well, if they could know exactly where he was when," Dearlove explained.

At the same time, according to the former MI6 chief, double agents are not used during closed talks and personal meetings, as it is extremely difficult to imitate putin at close range.

"The times when a body double would be used would not be in a face-to-face meeting because it would be very, very difficult to replicate Putin when you’re that close," he said.

In contrast, at public events in open spaces - walks, factory inspections, or demonstration rallies - the use of look-alikes is considered likely, as it is impossible to fully control the environment there.

An additional interest in the topic was aroused by the report of the Japanese TV channel TBS for 2023. Experts used artificial intelligence to analyze putin's facial features and body movements and concluded that a real dictator was present at the May 9 parade on Red Square. At the same time, during the inspection of the Crimean Bridge almost a year earlier, his double probably appeared - the level of similarity between them was just over 50%.

Recall that US President Donald Trump is increasingly disappointed with russian dictator vladimir putin, who realizes that it is he [putin - ed.] who is the main obstacle to peace, not Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
