DeepState records new russian advances in Donetsk and Kharkiv Regions: Shakhove and Pokrovsk under attack

Russian occupation forces have advanced in several areas of the frontline, in particular in the Donetsk and Kharkiv Regions. This is reported by analysts of the DeepState monitoring project, citing updated data from the battlefield map.

According to the analysts, the enemy is advancing directly in Shakhove, as well as near Nove Shakhove in the Pokrovsk District of the Donetsk Region. In addition, the advance of russian troops in the city of Pokrovsk was recorded.

Also, changes in the Kharkiv Region are reported - the russian army has advanced in Vovchansk and near the village of Vilcha of the Vovchansk community.

"The enemy has advanced in Vovchansk, Pokrovsk and near Vilcha," DeepState analysts noted.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has launched 43 attacks in the areas of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Sukhetske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, as well as in the direction of Ivanivka, Hryshyne, Toretske and Novopavlivka. The Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the attack, and fighting continues in two locations.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 7, the DeepState analytical project updated its interactive map, marking the advance of the russian army in the Sumy and Donetsk Regions. According to the analysts, the occupiers allegedly seized two settlements.

The military, however, denied DeepState's information about the occupation of Andriivka in the north of the Sumy Region.
