A meeting was held at the Elysee Palace in Paris regarding the potential sending of troops to Ukraine after the signing of a peace agreement.
According to Le Monde, after its completion, the leader of the opposition party "France Invincible" Mathilde Panot told reporters that the country could allocate 6,000 peacekeepers to participate in the mission.
During the meeting, President Emmanuel Macron assured that these units would not be at "zero", but would become a deterrent force. Their task is to support the Defense Forces and strengthen security in Ukraine.
Moreover, he assured that the deployment within the framework of security guarantees would take place with the support of the United States. But Panot later stated that she doubts the help of the Americans, saying that there is no reason to trust Donald Trump.
