After a massive russian shelling last night, half of Kyiv's apartment buildings are currently without heat due to damaged critical infrastructure. The heating in some buildings will be restored tonight. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has announced this.

"City services are operating in an emergency mode. The situation in the capital is very difficult, but controlled in terms of life support systems. Public utilities together with power engineers are working to restore electricity, heat and water supply to Kyiv residents after a massive enemy attack on the capital's critical infrastructure. Let me remind you that half of Kyiv's apartment buildings - almost 6,000 - are currently without heat supply due to damaged critical infrastructure. We hope to supply heat to some of the houses tonight," said Vitali Klitschko.

He also noted that water supply has been restored in the Pecherskyi District and is being gradually restored in the areas of the left bank of the city.

"There are also water supply interruptions in the city. At the moment, it has been restored in the Pecherskyi District and is gradually being restored in the areas of the left bank of the city. It will take some time for the water supply system to work as usual. I would like to remind you that the upper floors of the buildings are supplied with water through separate booster pumps that will not work in the absence of electricity. Therefore, the upper floors may still have no water supply, even if the service has already been restored in the area," said the mayor of Kyiv.

Vitali Klitschko also reminded about heating points where residents of the capital can keep warm, get hot drinks and food, and charge gadgets.

"I would also like to remind you that more than 1200 heating (invincibility) points have been prepared in Kyiv, where you can get warm, hot drinks, food, charge phones, power banks and other gadgets. This fall, the number has increased: almost 200 heating and recharging points are now operating in the city's shopping centers. I appeal to Kyiv residents who have heat and water in their homes: help your fellow citizens by inviting them to warm up, cook food or baby food. Only in mutual support, humanity, and helping each other will we survive!" - Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Telegram channel.
