Including prices for food and soft drinks in 2025 increased by 10.2% (unchanged in December), prices for clothing and footwear decreased by 6.1% (down 3.9% in December), housing and communal services - increased by 2.3% (increased by 0.1% in December), healthcare services - increased by 6.0% (decreased by 0.3% in December), education - increased by 14.4% (did not change in December).
Compared to December 2024, consumer prices increased by 8.0% in December 2025.
In January-December 2025, consumer prices increased by 12.7% compared to January-December 2024.
In December 2025, the core consumer price index was up 0.1%.
Compared to December 2024, in December 2025, the core consumer price index increased by 8.0%.
Core inflation is a sub-index of the Consumer Price Index.
Core CPI (core inflation) is a part of inflation that reflects the dynamics of free prices without taking into account items whose prices are affected by administrative and seasonal factors.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in November, inflation was 0.4%, core inflation was 0.3%.
In 2024, inflation was recorded at 12.0%, in 2023 - 5.1%, in 2022 - 26.6%, in 2021 - 10.0%, in 2020 - 5.0%
In 2024, core inflation was 10.7%.
The state budget for 2025 envisages an increase in consumer prices (December to December of the previous year) of 9.5%.
