Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, businessman and philanthropist Pavlo Fuks has been providing support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Main Directorate of Intelligence and the families of the dead and injured Ukrainian soldiers, as well as Kharkiv residents and residents of the region who need humanitarian assistance. This was reported by the businessman's charitable foundation.
Pavlo Fuks provides military units with material and technical support. In particular, the soldiers of the special forces units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are at the front line, received copters from businessman Pavlo Fuks to carry out combat missions. The businessman also supplies soldiers with clothes, armored vehicles, etc. In particular, a special squad of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense received an armored minibus.
In addition, Pavlo Fuks purchased 100 iFlight Nazgul XL10 quadcopters to the UAV strike battalion "Achilles" of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Otaman Ivan Sirko.
The soldiers also received 15 DJI Matrice 300 quadcopters and 40 DJI Mavic 3 drones.
Thanks to the assistance of businessman Pavlo Fuks the Kharkiv garrison of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region received two new fire and rescue vehicles based on the Renault K440 6X6. Also for the Kharkiv rescuers were purchased modern fire helmets, protective masks, and specialized footwear from the French manufacturer Michelin.
For his contribution to supporting the Ukrainian Defense Forces, Pavlo Fuks has been recognized with state and departmental awards.
By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Pavlo Fuks was awarded the badge of honor "For Assistance to the Army". The philanthropist was awarded a special distinction by the National Guard of Ukraine's "Azov" Brigade for "strengthening the combat capability of the unit, fostering cohesion on the path to defending Ukraine's independence, and demonstrating dedication to the Motherland and the nation". The award was signed by the commander of the "Azov" Brigade, Denys Prokopenko.
By order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, Pavlo Fuks was awarded the insignia of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – medal "For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine".
Gratitudes were awarded to Pavlo Fuks by the command of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the special forces units of the Security Service of Ukraine, brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard, Territorial Defense units, as well as the special police unit "KORD". The awards specifically highlighted his active civic position, systematic volunteer activity, and personal contribution to Ukraine's defense. Pavlo Fuks also received a commemorative award from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
In May 2022, Forbes Ukraine reported that businessman and philanthropist Pavlo Fuks sent about $5 million to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense Forces, the National Guard of Ukraine and to help the families of the dead and injured Ukrainian soldiers.
During the entire period of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, the total amount of funds directed by Pavlo Fuks to assist the soldiers and civilians has exceeded 10 million dollars.
Starting from October, with the support of Pavlo Fuks, distribution points for homemade food were located in Kharkiv, Izyum, Kupyansk and other cities of the Kharkiv region, as well as in frontline zones and de-occupied areas.
The charitable foundation has already distributed over 400,000 portions of food. Humanitarian food distribution campaigns are held daily and cover everyone who needs it: an average of 500–600 people receive assistance each time.
Earlier, during the COVID-19 pandemic, as part of his support for Kharkiv's healthcare system, the philanthropist bought two X-ray diagnostic complexes for doctors in Kharkiv for UAH 13.4 million and donated UAH 2.7 million to the families of officers and cadets of the Kharkiv National Air Force University named after Ivan Kozhedub, who died in a plane crash near Chuguiv, Kharkiv region.
