On the night of January 7, russian occupation forces attacked Dnipro with drones, targeting residential areas and educational institutions. Mayor Boris Filatov has reported this.

Seven people were injured in the shelling, including two children. Most of the wounded were diagnosed with an acute stress reaction, but shrapnel wounds were also recorded. All the victims are currently being treated in city hospitals.

More than ten high-rise buildings were hit, with several hundred windows smashed, and the heating network damaged near one of the buildings. In addition to the residential sector, the enemy hit a vocational school, where a fire broke out. The fire was extinguished, but the training workshop and student dormitory were heavily damaged. The blast wave and debris also damaged two kindergartens, a school and a large number of private cars

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Vladyslav Haivanenko confirmed the consequences of the attack, noting that the aggressor's actions led to the partial destruction of a high-rise building and fires in educational institutions. Utilities and rescuers continue to work at the sites of the attacks to eliminate the consequences of the night terror.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 5, a russian Shahed attack UAV hit a plant in the right-bank part of Dnipro. The plant is owned by the American company Bunge. As a result of the strike, 300 tons of vegetable oil spilled out of the tank.

Hundreds of tons of sand were poured on the streets of Dnipro because of the oil leak after the occupiers' strike.
