The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced a new appointment for his eldest son: 20-year-old Akhmat became deputy head of the Chechen government, while simultaneously retaining the portfolio of Minister of Sports.
Kadyrov announced the decision on his Telegram channel.
Along with Akhmat Kadyrov, Akhmad Dudayev, the Minister of National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information, who also became acting deputy head of the government, was also promoted.
Kadyrov's relatives have long held key positions in the Chechen government. In particular, his daughter Khadizhat, at the age of 24, was appointed first deputy head of the administration of the head and the regional government.
Akhmat Kadyrov's career in the government system began in adolescence: at the age of 18, he became deputy head of the Chechen government and headed the Ministry of Youth Affairs. Another son of the head of the region, Adam Kadyrov, at the age of 16 received the position of "head of the security department" of his father, and also became the curator of the battalion named after Sheikh Mansur.
Recall that earlier the media reported on the hospitalization of Ramzan Kadyrov in Moscow on New Year's Eve. There was no official confirmation of this information, and the head of Chechnya himself did not comment on whether the new appointments are related to his health.
