Zelenskyy thanked Maliuk for his combat work and emphasized that he suggested that he focus on the implementation of Ukrainian asymmetric operations against the occupier and the russian state.
"I thanked him for his combat work and suggested that we focus on such work. There should be more Ukrainian asymmetric operations against the occupier and the russian state, more of our strong results in destroying the enemy. Vasyl Vasylovych knows how to do this best and will continue to do this in the SSU system," the President wrote.
In addition, during the meeting, candidates for the position of the new head of the SSU were discussed.
After that, a message appeared from Vasyl Maliuk that he was leaving the post of head of the SSU, but would continue to implement asymmetric special operations of world-class level.
Earlier, it was reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was considering the possibility of removing the head of the SSU, Vasyl Maliuk, from his post and appointing him to another position; if the President makes a corresponding decision, the Verkhovna Rada should approve Maliuk's resignation.
According to media reports, at first Maliuk refused to resign, but then, after Zelenskyy's sharp reaction, he agreed.
