The Head of the State Border Guard Service, Serhii Deineko, has been appointed an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has announced this.
"I had a sincere conversation with Serhii Vasyliovych. Taking into account the recommendations of doctors, he needs a short recovery after many years of service. I appreciate both the managerial experience of General Deineko, gained over more than 6 years as the Head of the State Border Guard Service, and his military achievements," the statement said.
Klymenko expects Deineko to provide expert support, advice based on combat experience and participation in the development of solutions in the field of state border security as an advisor
"In addition, Serhii Deineko decided to continue his military service while remaining an advisor. Therefore, after a short rehabilitation, he will be appointed commander of a combat unit of the State Border Guard Service," the Interior Minister added.
Recall that earlier Zelenskyy said that in the near future Klymenko will submit candidates to replace Deineko.
