The Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Venezuela has ruled that Vice President Delcy Rodríguez will act as head of state in the absence of Nicolás Maduro, who was detained on Saturday, January 3, during an operation by US troops. This is reported by Reuters.
The court's decision states that Rodríguez will assume "the office of President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in order to guarantee administrative continuity and the comprehensive defense of the Nation."
The decision of the Supreme Court of Venezuela also adds that the court will discuss this issue to "determine the applicable legal framework to guarantee the continuity of the State, the administration of government, and the defense of sovereignty in the face of the forced absence of the President of the Republic."

Rodriguez then made an audio address on state television, calling on Washington to provide evidence that they were alive.
Later, the media reported that Delsey Rodríguez is in the aggressor country of russia.
