Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko said that Ukraine's financial needs for the next 10 years, excluding security costs, will amount to USD 800 billion.

The head of the Ukrainian government said this at a meeting with security advisers from Western countries, RBC-Ukraine reports.

Svyrydenko noted that Ukraine needs "huge" investments, and they should be part of the peace agreements being prepared by Ukraine and Western countries. This funding is envisaged in the agreement on economic prosperity, the draft of which has been developed but is not yet made public.

"The financial investment needs required to ensure economic prosperity are enormous. From today's perspective, we are talking about USD 800 billion for the next 10 years," Svyrydenko said.

The head of the government emphasized that this amount is not final, as it does not include a significant item of expenditure.

"This includes (costs to maintain - ed.) macro-financial stability, compensation for losses, reconstruction needs and financing the necessary economic impetus. But this does not include defense funding, which we expect to decrease over time with effective security guarantees," the politician said.

Svyrydenko separately emphasized the need to cover the budget deficit caused by the war.

"(After the security needs - ed.), the next goal is economic stability. Without economic stability, there is no point in talking about attracting investment," she said.
