President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer had a telephone conversation, during which they discussed preparations for a meeting at the level of the leaders of the "Coalition of the Willing", another topic of discussion was frozen funds from the sale of the Chelsea football club.
The head of state wrote about this on his official page on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"I had a good conversation with Keir Starmer – about how to move forward in diplomacy at this stage, and about how, together, we can achieve greater justice in light of everything Russia has brought through this war. We discussed the details of preparations for a leaders-level meeting that will take place soon," he wrote.
The President also discussed with the British Prime Minister the need for a fair decision regarding the frozen funds from the sale of Chelsea.
According to Zelenskyy, this is two and a half billion pounds, which can significantly help protect lives and rebuild Ukraine after numerous russian strikes.
In addition, the head of state noted that today the national security advisers of European countries are working very productively in Kyiv.
"Today is an active day, with 18 participants from Europe engaged in joint work. We are also coordinating with the American side," he added.
The President expressed gratitude to Starmer for his leadership.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a meeting of national security advisers of the "Coalition of the Willing" began in Kyiv on Saturday afternoon.
At the end of December, Zelenskyy said that the national security advisers of the "Coalition of the Willing" countries would meet in Ukraine on January 3, and the coalition leaders would meet in France on January 6.
