The former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and current Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK Valerii Zaluzhnyi leads the rating of Ukrainians' electoral preferences.

23% of voters are ready to vote for him, while incumbent President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would get 20%, The Washington Post reports, citing a poll by the international company Ipsos.

The poll of 2,000 Ukrainians showed that Zaluzhnyi is the favorite in any future presidential election. Zelenskyy ranks second in terms of public support.

The third position in the rating is occupied by Petro Poroshenko, leader of the European Solidarity party and the fifth president of Ukraine (2014-2019), for whom 9% of respondents are ready to vote.

Fourth place goes to Kyrylo Budanov, the former head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who recently became the head of the President's Office, with 7% of respondents supporting him.

At the same time, 17% of respondents were undecided on who they would vote for, Ipsos said.
