US President Donald Trump said that his Venezuelan colleague and his wife were captured and taken out of the country as a result of a special operation.
The White House host wrote about this on his official page on his personal social network Truth Social
"The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country. This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement. Details to follow," Trump said.
The American President announced a press conference in Mar-a-Lago at 11:00 a.m. local time
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the morning of Saturday, January 3, explosions were heard in the Venezuelan capital Caracas, and a state of emergency was declared in the country due to the "extremely serious military aggression carried out by the current government of the United States of America."
