December 2025 was a record-breaking month for Ukraine's strikes on russia's energy infrastructure. It was reported by Bloomberg.

During the month, at least 24 attacks on strategic enemy targets were recorded, including oil refineries, oil tankers, key pipelines and offshore infrastructure. These actions caused the greatest damage to russian assets since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

The systematic strikes significantly increase the pressure on russian energy exports, which are already under international sanctions. Although the physical volume of oil supplies remains significant, the kremlin's profits are rapidly declining. It is expected that in 2025 the share of oil and gas revenues in the russian budget will fall to a record low of 23%. In particular, Lukoil's oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea, as well as the Black Sea ports of Taman and Rostov, where several tankers of the russian "shadow fleet" caught fire as a result of attacks, are under attack.

In addition to maritime targets, Ukraine continues to successfully attack fuel plants directly on the territory of the russian federation. One of the largest operations was the use of Storm Shadow cruise missiles to strike the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery. Such a strategy allows to consistently disable the facilities that provide fuel to the occupation forces and fill the budget of the aggressor country.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of December 25 drones attacked a port in the Krasnodar Krai of the aggressor state of russia. Tanks with petroleum products caught fire - the fire area is about 2,000 square meters.

An oil refinery and a seaport are on fire in the russian city of Tuapse after a drone attack.
