The statement of the aggressor country of russia about the alleged attack of a UAV on the residence of russian dictator vladimir putin is aimed at delaying the negotiation process and diverting attention.
The head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, stated this on Wednesday, December 31.
"Russia's statement that Ukraine recently struck key government facilities is a deliberate distraction," she wrote on X (Twitter).
According to her, Moscow seeks to disrupt the real progress achieved in the negotiation process on Ukraine.
Kallas noted that no one should accept the baseless statements of the aggressor, who has been indiscriminately attacking civilian and infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine for almost a year.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker questioned russia's statement about a drone "attack" on putin's residence. He called for familiarization with American intelligence data.
As a reminder, a number of russian media outlets wrote that residents of the city of Valdai, near which putin's residence is located, did not hear the sounds of air defense systems on the night of December 29.
