AFU attacks on russian oil and gas infrastructure in December hit record high - Bloomberg

In December, Ukraine significantly increased its attacks on russian energy facilities, recording the highest number of attacks during the entire full-scale war.

This is reported by Bloomberg.

According to the agency, it was in December that attacks on russian energy infrastructure reached a monthly maximum: both the number of facilities hit and the range of targets increased.

Bloomberg analysts counted at least 24 attacks on oil refineries, oil tankers, marine facilities, and key elements of the russian pipeline system in one month.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces placed special emphasis on maritime infrastructure. Lukoil's oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea were repeatedly attacked.

The ports of Taman and Rostov in the Black Sea were also attacked in December, where several tankers caught fire as a result of the attacks. A separate direction remained operations against the so-called "shadow fleet" of russia.

Bloomberg notes that against this background, the russian authorities predict a decrease in the share of revenues from oil and gas to 23% of the budget next year - this is the lowest level for the entire period of observations.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of December 25, drones attacked a port in the Krasnodar Krai of the aggressor state of russia. Tanks with oil products caught fire - the area of the fire was about 2,000 square meters.
