Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, continues to perform his duties, and the information about his possible dismissal is not true.
Zaluzhnyi's media adviser Oksana Torop told the Ukrainian Pravda this in a commentary.
According to her, there have been no changes in the ambassador's status, and he continues to represent and protect Ukraine's interests in London.
The comment was made in response to a request from UP regarding media reports about Zaluzhnyi's alleged plans to leave his diplomatic post in early January. Torop emphasized that such publications are based on anonymous sources and have no confirmation.
Earlier, a number of publications citing sources in political and diplomatic circles wrote that Zaluzhnyi was allegedly preparing to complete his work as Ukraine's ambassador to the UK at the beginning of the year.
Meanwhile, on December 24, MP Bezuhla posted a photo with a man who looked like Zaluzhnyi and said that he was vacationing in the Dominican Republic.
