The defense in the case of businessman Serhii Tarasov states that the prosecution is deliberately dragging out the criminal proceedings because it lacks convincing evidence.
This was stated by Serhii Tarasov’s lawyer, Oleksandr Hardetskyi, in an interview with UNIAN
"This is neither an accident nor a technical delay. Under the law, the prosecution was given one year to collect evidence and refer the case to court. That deadline expired in November 2025, yet no indictment has been submitted to the court," lawyer Oleksandr Hardetskyi said.
He emphasized that the defense does not oppose a court hearing and, on the contrary, insists on a substantive consideration of the case on its merits.
