On the night of December 27, the russians attacked Kyiv and the region, a man was injured, buildings were damaged, the attack is ongoing.
This is stated in messages from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration and the head of the Air Defense Command Mykola Kalashnyk on social networks.
As of 04:59 am, the Air Force reported about UAVs moving from the north past Vyshhorod towards Kyiv.
Before that, the Air Force reported about a group of UAVs passing Brovary in the direction of the capital.
In addition, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that the Air Defense Forces are working on targets.
"UAVs detected in the airspace. Air defense forces are working on targets. Stay in shelters until the end of the air alert. Take care of your own safety. Observe information silence - do not record or post the work of our defenders on the network," Kyiv Regional Military Administration stated.
"The enemy is purposefully attacking critical infrastructure facilities, people's homes. Unfortunately, there is a person injured. A resident of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region was driving a truck during the attack and received shrapnel wounds to the back. He was hospitalized in a local hospital. All necessary medical care is being provided," Kalashnyk reported.
According to him, windows in a multi-storey building were damaged in Vyshhorod. Production premises and two cars were also damaged in the Boryspil district.
And a fire broke out on a construction site in the Bucha district.
In addition, the premises of a communal enterprise of one of the communities were damaged in the Obukhiv district.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that air defense forces are operating in the city. He urged residents of the capital to stay in shelters until the end of air alert.
